TCSF - Lunches Disability Sports Activities in Wandsworth London

With the London Paralympics on the horizon next summer, The Community Sports Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new after-school sports club for children with disabilities in Wandsworth London.

Based at Southfields' Linden Lodge School, a special school for children with visual impairment and multi-disabled visual impairment, the club, run in partnership with the Community Sports Foundation and supported by Aiming High, will take place on Tuesdays during term time and is available free.

Children will get the chance to learn new sports, many of which will be played in next year's Paralympics including boccia, a target based game similar to bowls, and sitting volleyball along with kurling, indoor athletics, skittles and polybat.

Wandsworth Council's cabinet member for environment and culture, Councillor Jonathan Cook, said: "We're running this scheme in partnership with The Community Sports Foundation and Aiming High in order to make sure all our young residents have the chance to enjoy sport.
"We run sporting activities for disabled people of all ages, and visitors to our website can access a directory of disability sport opportunities. For us Sport for All isn't just a phrase, but something we aim to make a reality."

To find out how to join please email enquiry@tcsf.org.uk or call 020 3346 3064 to register your place.
