The Trainer - Terry Clement
Terry has been involved within the racing fraternity for many years, starting his career as an assistant to Dave Morris & Charlie McBride. In 1996 Terry decided to make the step up and become a trainer in his own right acquiring his own training licence and in 1997 Calder Park Stables, Newmarket. The stables made famous by the legendary Jockey and Trainer Lester Piggott who still lives in the adjoining property.
During the 2009 turf season Terry claimed a 17% winners to runners ratio a percentage which makes him more successful than the likes of Richard Hannon, John Gosden, John Dunlop, Barry Hills or Luca Cumani.
As a Trainer Terry has built a reputation based around a personal, methodical and gentle approach to training the animals in his charge. He has demonstrated that the ethical approach works time and time again, winning with horses that many leading trainers could not. We believe therefore that this makes Terry the perfect choice for our Horse Racing Partnerships.
