Coaching Opportunities Initiative
One of the key principles of the Foundation is to encourage and develop our young participants to their full potential. The Trustees are keen to seek new and innovative ways to support our projects, participants and to deliver our initiatives in a sustainable manor.
To achieve this object the Community Sports Foundation operates a scheme called the Coaching Opportunities Initiative. This unique concept looks to encourage participants who attend our sports coaching sessions with the opportunity of gaining coaching and other relevant sporting qualifications.
The Foundation will fund successful candidates through their qualifications and encourage them to put their new found skills to practice by putting them to use within our project portfolio. Candidates will be required to pass a CRB disclosure check and will not be permitted to coach on their own until they have been assessed by a senior member of the Foundation or coaching staff. At all times prior to this they will be supervised and mentored by our trained and experienced coaching team.
The Trustees believe this is a fantastic way for the Foundation to maintain our program portfolio and will offer a considerable number of young adults the opportunity to further develop themselves, gain invaluable life experiences, qualifications and possible employment.
Please note this initiative is not open to applications and is offered on the recommendation and referral of Foundation staff only. If you wish to be considered for the Coaching Opportunities Initiative we recommend that you speak with a member of the Foundation coaching staff directly, making them aware that you are keen to be considered for the scheme and that you continue to show dedication as well as a willingness to listen and get involved.
